Configuring Blogger Theme Settings
There are several configurations on Blogger that you have to adjust. In this article, we will discuss it.
Adding Website License
All our themes require a Website License and you can set it up easily. Here are some steps and their explanations:
- Go to the Purchases page and find the product you want to add a license to.
- Click the More Menu button (three-dot icon in the right corner) and click Copy Purchase ID and then Add Website License.
- Enter the URL of your website or blog starting with
http://
orhttps://
. You can add any number of Blog URLs. - Next, go to Blogger Dashboard and select the Layout menu.
- Look for the section titled Theme Panel Top.
- Click the edit button (pencil icon) on the JavaScript Variables (Link List Gadget).
- A Link List Configuration Popup will appear.
- You can skip the Title and Number of items to show in list input or leave it blank.
- In the Sorting section, you can choose between Don't sort, Sort Alphabetically or Sort Reverse Alphabetically. Please choose according to your wishes (Optional).
- To add a new menu item, click the ADD A NEW ITEM button. Here are a few things that can be set:
- In the Site name input, enter a

- If both inputs are set, click the SAVE button next to them.
- If you want to finish the configuration, click the SAVE button at the bottom.
Blog Posts Settings
There are several things that can be set globally on both the index pages and item page. Here are some steps and their explanations:
- Go to Blogger Dashboard and select the Layout menu.
- Look for the section titled Main Section.
- Click the edit button (pencil icon) on the Blog Posts (Blog Posts Gadget).
- A Blog Posts Configuration Popup will appear.
- Here are a few things that can be set:
- In the Number of posts on main page input, fill it the number of posts you want to display on the index pages. Example:

. - In the Post page link text input, fill it with the jumplink text. Example:

. - You can skip the Show date header as this feature can't be used.
- The Show author setting is useful for displaying the Author name globally. If enabled, the Author format input will appear. You can fill it with text

or leave it blank. - The Show publish time setting is useful for displaying the post's publication date globally. If enabled, the Publish time prefix input will appear, you can fill it with text

, At or leave it blank. A dropdown for the date/time format will also appear, please select it according to your wishes. - The Show comment count setting is useful for displaying the comments globally. If enabled, the Comment format input will appear. Just skip it, because the input is not used.
- The Show labels setting is useful for displaying the posts label globally. If enabled, the Labels prefix input will appear. You can fill it with text

- The Show share buttons setting is useful for displaying sharing buttons and share links to social media.
- Just skip the Show location setting as it's not being used.
- The Show author profile setting is useful for displaying post Author Profile on Item Page.
- The Show ads between posts setting is useful for displaying Ads. If enabled, Ad settings from AdSense like Number of posts between ads and Format will appear. Here are the options you can use:
- Number of posts between ads - For the location of placing ads per post item. We recommend placing an ad in every half of the post that is displayed. For example, if the post item on the index page is set to

. - Format - To select the ad size. We recommend using Ad Units - Responsive.

- If you want to finish the configuration, click the SAVE button at the bottom.
Mobile Settings
Our themes are designed to be highly responsive, meaning they adapt automatically to various screen sizes, including desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. We recommend disabling the desktop-specific settings to ensure the best mobile experience. Here are some steps to configure it:
- On the Blogger Dashboard, select the Theme menu.
- Click the down arrow icon (next to the CUSTOMIZE button) and select Mobile Settings.
- Choose the Mobile option from the radio buttons.
- Click the SAVE button to apply the changes.
Blogger Settings
There are some Blogger Default Settings that you may need to set. Here, we will discuss them.
Meta Tags
In the Meta Tags settings, you can enable and disable Search Description and set a short Description for your Blog.
Search Description
This setting is useful for enabling and disabling Search Description or Summary for your Blog and Posts. Here are some steps and their explanations:
- Go to Blogger Dashboard and select the Settings menu.
- Scroll down until you find the Meta Tags > Enable Search Description option.
- You can enable and disable it by clicking the toggle Button.
- If you enable it, then the Search Description Input will appear on the Settings page and on each Post. You can fill in your short Blog or Post Description in 150 characters.
